The PanBlast™ Climate Controller is utilized to cool or heat the incoming air from the respirator airline filter prior to it entering the supplied air respirator / blast helmet depending on requirements. The use of the PanBlast™ Climate Controller can reduce the incoming air temperature by up to 15oC (27oF) from ambient, or increase the incoming air temperature by up to 30oC (54oF) from ambient.
The unit operates on the principle of using a static vortex to heat or cool the air; and it requires no batteries or electricity to operate and contains no moving parts. Compressed air is simply supplied to the air inlet fitting and exits the unit either cooled or heated, depending on the operators requirements. A simple sliding lever arrangement is provided to switch the unit between cooling and heating modes, an adjustable waist belt is supplied as standard issue for ease of attachment for the blasting operator, as well as a protective heat shield for operator comfort.
All PanBlast™ Alternate Air Flow Control Devices are approved to AS/NZS 1716 and EN 14594:2005 international regulatory standards.
