The PanBlast™ Air Cooling Controller is utilized to cool the incoming air from the respirator airline filter prior to entering the supplied air respirator / blast helmet. Regardless of the type of air compressor used, heat is generated during the air compression process due to friction. If no air cooling is performed after compression, this hot air will be fed directly to the supplied air respirator / blast helmet.
The use of the PanBlast™ Air Cooling Controller will reduce the incoming air temperature by up to 19oC (34oF), thus providing breathing air at a comfortable temperature level for the operator.
The PanBlast™ Air Cooling Controller does not require batteries or electrical power to operate, and contains no moving parts. The unit operates on the principle of using a static vortex to cool the air; compressed air is simply supplied to the air inlet fitting and exits the unit cooled.
A simple adjustment knob arrangement is provided to allow for the degree of cooled air required by the operator. An adjustable waist belt is supplied as standard issue for ease of attachment for the blasting operator, as well as a protective heat shield for operator comfort.
All PanBlast™ Alternate Air Flow Control Devices are approved to AS/NZS 1716 and EN 14594:2005 international regulatory standards.

Pretty Cool
Great alternative to the costly Vortex unit, not to mention streets ahead of the cheap (PLASTIC) Rpb unit. Will certainly be browsing in more detail before spending next time.
